The recipes have few ingredients that don't require a lot of shopping or buying ingredients you'll never use again, and are easy to follow regardless of your cooking skills.
My wife decided to try the Mediterranean diet so she bought me this book. It came yesterday and I've already made the Lemon Chicken soup for dinner last night and the Eggs with Tomato and Olives for breakfast this morning. Both dishes were very tasty and I'll probably make them again some day. I'll make the roasted red pepper soup for dinner tonight.However, whatever country the author is from (given the large number of spelling and grammar errors, I'm guessing it is not the US) has very slow clocks and very large people. It takes easily 3 times as long to make the recipes as he says and the servings are huge! If I had a commercial kitchen and 2 sous chefs I would have extra mouths to feed and probably need only twice as long to cook. So be aware if you have time constraints.
This is a great set and it's written well. The Mediterranean diet is the healthiest diet you can try. Also is the most effective diet if you want to lose weight without starving yourself. It is scientifically proven that the Mediterranean diet is great for your overall health. It is the best diet you can adapt in your lifestyle for very short time, also it is a balanced diet that helps your body to function at its best. This book includes tips for losing weight, what kind of food you should eat, a seven day meal plan and so much more. I really loved this book because it is very useful, if you are trying the Mediterranean diet this is the book for you.
This book is so full of spelling and grammatical errors, it puts the entire validity of the content into question. I couldn't find any information on the author or his credentials.
I’ve been seeing this diet recommended in various magazine but didn’t know really what it was! In the beginning Mr. Johnston explains how people living in the Mediterranean are doing better then most of us here in the States. He explains the diet, the reasoning behind it and offers some very basic, interesting recipes and a plan for a 7-day diet. The recipes had lovely pictures, were clearly written --- I even found some to try! Sounded very healthy and beneficial!
Excellent! The plan is easy to understand and use, the meals consisting of ingredients that are either on hand or easy to find anywhere. This book is for everyone trying to eat healthier and lose the unwanted pounds and the recipes are delicious. I can follow this plan without feeling the dreaded diet.
This book has been super helpful for me getting on Complete Mediterranean Diet Cookbook for Beginners. Well organized and emphasized Guide with Delicious Recipes. I thoroughly enjoyed, I highly recommend it for anyone looking.
Our heart doctor recommended this type of cooking and this book gives easy recipes and the food is good. We looked at other books with weird ingredients and passed them by.
