I read the reviews on this book even the negative ones. I have been programming with C# for a while but needed to brush up on interview questions for an interview that I was scheduled for. Even though you program in the language does not mean you use all of the features in the language. I took notes on what I needed to study. I did find the book useful. There was one thing that I believe was missing from this book is the loading of a page. Otherwise, the topics helped me study and look up when I needed a clearer clarification.

Nice book, actually has more information that's needed to clear a c# interview.

This book got me the job as software specialist at a bank. Lot of questions asked were from this book.What was in this interview that isnt covered here is writing some simple code on paper, in C# or simple SQL queries and simple database design.4 stars because design patterns were asked about in the interview but you need to read about them elswhere to understand them and no simple exercises contained.Try Head first Design patterns.

As someone with a background in marketing and sales and who suddenly found myself with several lawyers as clients, I needed to do some research and open my mind to new ideas. Thankfully, this book delivered exactly on what I needed. This book is a must have for lawyers starting their own firm, or in need of fresh marketing ideas. This book is filled with practical information and not so much fluff as you would find in many other books. It doesn't ramble on, it just delivers. Highly recommended.

I liked that it was praxis oriented easy to follow . I totally recommend it as a start up ( and very good price)

Fantastic "real world" tips, approaches and ideas. While each chapter gives massive value, the chapters written by Nicole Abboud of Abboud Media and Nick Rishwain of Experts dot com really hit home for me. I can't wait to share this new resource with all the members of my LegalMinds Mastermind community. Well done David M. Britton of PracticePanther!

EDIT: Update. I finished the book. Literally nothing of value that you can't get from reading free Lawyerist, MyShingle, or Solo Practice University blog content. Also, hilariously, Mitch Jackson, who left a glowing review above, wrote one of the chapters. And seriously - there is nothing on automation in this book at all.I wanted to like this book. I've worked in legal marketing for a while, as well as ran my own practice, and automation is something I'm REALLY working on getting done in my practice: automating intake, lead response, document generation, etc.This book doesn't deliver any of that (so far, and I'm about 3/4 done). It is just a series of "chapters" that read like vague, generalized blog posts on how to network and stay organized. Instead of automation, I have an attorney telling me that I need to buy a Fujitsu SnapScan. Instead of good marketing advice, I get "use an app to store business cards in your phone" or "send thank you cards all the time!"The book was a dollar on Kindle, so ... fine I guess. Maybe it'd help a fresh-outta-school lawyer starting his/her own practice as a series of general tidbits on running a small practice. But secrets? Automation? No. It's bland blog-o-spere rehashing.

A great book written by great minds in law and legal technology. Excellent chapters by leading attorneys like Mitch Jackson of Jackson & Wilson and Aastha Madaan of Madaan Law! Loved the chapter on branding from lawyer Nicole Abboud of Abboud Media. Some fantastic chapters by other leading legal minds.

This book was an excellent read! It was very informative in respect to tips and tricks one would use to better their own law firm. The sections I found most helpful were the portions that outlined starting a website and using WordPress, the section about how attorneys can use Evernote, and Barbara Leach’s chapter. Definitely add this to your library!

An awesome read that showed me things that I would otherwise have needed to learn through trial and error. This book helped me learn important business lessons without jeopardizing my business in the process.

WOW! This book is full of great concepts that are easy to execute for any practicing attorney. I highly recommend this book!

This edition does not include all of Defoe's famous work, Robinson Crusoe. It has no cover page or publishing information, and ends at chapter 9 mid sentence. Literally the last page of the book ends mid-sentence, with a comma. Terrible. I am just now noting that the cover has a picture of a motorboat - definitely not available at the time of the setting of this book. This edition was negligently put together and should not be sold. Don't buy under any circumstances, it will only make you sad.

I would offer "0" stars, if possible. This edition is thin, without page numbers, and the book ended in the MIDDLE OF A SENTENCE! Obviously, it is not a legitimate copy, and is a fraud. If I had only purchased one copy, I would not be so upset, but I bought 17 copies for a book discussion group and cannot return them! This "publisher" is fraudulent and Amazon should not allow them to sell this knock-off of the real thing. VERY FRUSTRATING!

This is not a complete book; what a scam! It's about HALF of the book and it ends mid sentence. Also, why is there a motorboat with a Yamaha motor on the cover? This book took place in the 1600s; there were no Yamaha motors or motors of any sort at the time of this book. What a rip off! Also there is no publishing info other than "Made in the USA Lexington, KY 17 August 2017" I placed my order for this book on August 17, 2017. I guess they didn't have time to print the entire book???

If I could I would put zero stars. The book is incomplete!!!!!!!!!! I bought it for my son's homework and he realized after starting anoting in it that it was finishing in a middle of a sentence and he did not have the end! !!!

The version I got is the one with the motorboat on the cover (which makes no sense given this is set in the 1600's). First off, this book just starts on the very first page which was a little strange, but not really a problem. Next, it has no page numbers; I can deal with that as well - after all the book was inexpensive. But then the reason I really hate this version on the book, is that it ends mid-sentence in the middle of chapter ten. Which means this book is good for nothing except the trash.

I am writing a review of the audiobook version. I liked the narrator's presentation of the book. He has a good speaking voice and I've enjoyed other books he has narrated.As for the book, one cannot expect the writing style or narrative to match that of current day since it was written 300 years ago, I did enjoy the usage of certain words in the book, which are now considered archaic. That said, I found the story to be tedious, repetitive and overtly religious. While it probably helped sales of the book in England, I did not like the overly superior manner in which the English way of life is portrayed in the book. All other peoples and they way they live are deemed are inferior.Daniel Dafoe must have consumed the entire world's supply of commas for 10 or 20 years in writing this book. Nearly every sentence seems to contain a comma and many have multiple commas.

It is presumptuous of me to offer a review. The Canterbury Tales, the first English book, and Robinson Crusoe, the first English novel, may be to two most seminal books ever written in the English language.Let me just say that Robinson Crusoe is simply a great read. Do you need a story for the beach? This is it. Do you need a subject for you doctoral dissertation? This could also be it.Everyone should find something of interest in this adventure story. I strongly recommend it.

I used to work at Macmillan when Scribner was under the Macmillan umbrella and I knew when I bought this edition that it was the highest quality you can buy. The N.C. Wyeth illustrations are wonderful and they're on the very best high quality paper. All the Scribner Classics are well made. If you like classics, you'll love these editions. They are very well bound on very good paper and, as I just said, the illustrations are on the very best paper. For the price, you're getting a great deal. The only drawback: because it's such a high quality edition, you'll want to take very, very good care of it. Read it away from anything that might spill on it. Try to keep it away from any humidity. I know I'm sounding like a crazy book person and, okay, I probably am, but when you buy it, you'll see what I mean.

First I'd like to say this is a very detailed and well written book. Dr. Minirth provides clear detailed explanations on Depression, Anger, Anxiety, Worry, Stress and many other feelings that we are all affected by at sometimes in our lives. The problem I had was that , it was so detailed that the religious connections seemed to be afterthoughts. This was way more medical text than inspirational instruction and study. I was actually depressed after I read it and I had to offset that by reading something that would cheer me up.I will say that while I was reading this, my mother was very ill and passed later on, perhaps that impacted my feelings, I don't know. I will say that if I ever have to deal with any of the topics raised by Dr. Minirth, I will definitely read this again.

This is written by a psychiatrist who knows how to explain things in laymen's terms. He has a Christian worldview, but it's not heavy-handed. It isn't necessary to read this all the way through, either. I think it's the kind of thing you keep on hand and then reference chapters on "stress" or "loneliness" etc. when the need arises.

Very real, very true, and proven.God's word clearly includes every aspect of one's being.A MUST READ. You'll be glad you did!

This book contains some very good ideas and information on dealing with depression or anxiety, but it too often read like a psychology textbook. There were even several lists of medications and clinical terms. In addition, it repeated the same information over and over in different chapters. Way too much of this was given in list form, which turned out to be too dry. There were some good parts, however, and I would recommend it for anyone struggling with depression or negative thoughts and those who want to help someone like that, but for others, it would be better to skip this one.

I chose this book because I have and am struggling with depression, a disability and losses. I like his way of writing and his combining physical, mental and spiritual health. I have hope that my life can change.

I found this book very interesting and personally helpful. It is very readable and even enjoyable. I learned things about myself as,well as loved ones. I think I will refer to this book again in the future.

Great reminder that being happy is a choice. Highly recommend this book!
