About the Author
Vonne Martin graduated from the Medical College of Virginia in 1975 and worked for twenty years as a critical care nurse. She loves all animals and all types of sports. Her hobbies include scuba diving, going on safari, photography, reading, cooking, and her wonderful dogs (not necessarily in that order). Martin became interested in photography and tried to re-create the wonders she saw underwater. She has always tried to capture the natural, raw beauty and dangers of life, to become one with marine life and with the animals of southern Africa. She believes that photographs are pathways to our memories and remind us of what is important in our lives. Through her photographs, she seeks to share her experiences with those who can't experience the adventures she has been blessed to enjoy and hopes that she can inspire them to embark on such adventures themselves.
