What a fun story to teach children about "go", "stop", working together, problem solving and much more. Boys and girls loved it, asking for it repeatedly, and they enjoyed pointing out different aspects of the rich illustrations. The characterizations of the vehicles and more complex adverbs showed up in conversations long after the book was returned to the shelf. A big hit!
My 19 month Grandson loves this "go go go" book. He is very interested in the details on the pages like balloons or trucks sleeping. When we are rolling around the neighborhood in his car and we approach a light he is excited to point out what the colors mean. Even though the yellow light is only on the last page, he knows what it means too. This cute book holds the interest of my little guy who we nickname "Turbo".
This is my favorite board book to give. Girls and boys love to shout the commands. Great for very young and older kids alike. It was a perfect gift for my French cousin’s kids who don’t speak English too. Now they know stop and go, red and green and they had a blast learning these words too.
I purchased this book for a toddlers classroom when learning about street safety. This has since become my classes favorite book. It clearly teaches vehicle light signal meanings, with also including loved construction vehicles! A great book that I love to read over and over!
This book had been instrumental in teaching my son to say stop and go (one years old). We have to read this at least three times a day if not more. Absolutely adorable and his favorite book. It is the story of little green who says go and little red who says stop. They work together to help a construction site get organized and build a bridge. Yellow is introduced on the last page.
My son is really into cars and this book was a hit for him. He learned go, stop, traffic light, and exclamation mark. I actually do not read all the words on the pages because the story is busy and he looses interest quickly. I also say "green light" and "red light" instead of "little red and little green" like the book calls the traffic lights.
My two-year-old daughter enjoyed repeating "Go, Go, Go, Stop!" while reading this book. While the pictures aren't Caldecott-award-winning, they are quaint and cute. The photos of the texture of concrete was enough for me to order this for a two-year-old whose dad drives a cement truck - a fun book for them to read together.
My 3-year-old son was picking this book up at the library every other week. So, I finally ordered it here and he still loves it. It's a fairly simple but cute book. Nothing profoundly amazing but cute enough and kids into vehicles will likely enjoy it as much as my son does.
